Call for Proposals for the Procurement of Legal Services to support Distributed Generation in Sub-Saharan African countries

Closing Date: 15th April, 2024

Closing Date: 15th April 2024, 3pm.

The Policy Catalyst Distributed Generation Window is an initiative by GET.transform to provide technical support for regulators and utilities in five Sub-Saharan African countries with integrating Distributed Generation (DG) onto their electricity networks. It is a multi-year program implemented by GET.transform and Sustainable Energy Africa NPC (SEA) in partnership with the African Forum for Utility Regulators (AFUR) and the Association of Power Utilities of Africa (APUA).

The program includes a range of activities to support utility and regulator staff, including training, technical support, process development and assistance with relevant documentation relevant to DG integration. SEA is seeking relevant legal expertise to ensure the work is legally well-founded. The work involves clarifying national legal and regulatory frameworks, documentation review and workshops with partner countries. In-country representation of the legal team is preferred, but not mandatory.
